Activities at Carrie's Cottage

Set on 40 acres of farmland there are a host of on property experiences at Carrie’s Cottage, from waterskiing to fishing and bird watching. Alternatively, just laze back, relax and soak up the river views from the cottage verandah. In the winter months enjoy the crisp days and snuggle up at night in front of the wood fired heater.

Nature Walks and Bird Watching

There is a variety of native flora and birds on the farm and adjacent state forest. View the many species of birds around the farm’s fresh water lagoon.

Kayaking, Fishing and Boating

Carrie’s cottage boasts almost a kilometre of river frontage and its own sandy beach and sheltered bbq area. Launch a boat or kayak, or use the pontoon to cast out a line, a great spot to wile away the hours.

The Clyde River and Batemans Marine Park

As well as being one of the last major rivers in Eastern Australia that remains undammed, the Clyde River is also one of the cleanest. The recent establishment of the Batemans marine Park means fish stocks are in good supply.

As well as the beautiful beaches of the South Coast there is also plenty to do in the local area.  Attractions include Mogo Zoo, Birdland, Moruya markets, the Merinda cruises and the historic villages of Nelligen, Mogo, Braidwood and Tilba.
